My hero is a firefighter because they are strong,brave,smart,helpful and kind.

firefighters are my hero because they put out fires around the world and they save people lives by working as a team.

The police officers are also my hero because they stop bad things from happening to the world and they are strong, helpful and very brave. They work with other communities by making their army better and stronger.

My hero is doctors because they make sure that people stay well and be healthy and strong so they can live their future life with their family. and when someone gets injured they are the people that you call to fix it and they are also hard working.

Have you ever been to the maritime museum? well on Wednesday the 17th of June piwakawaka went to the maritime museum in the city. Our bus journey was so long. We notice a lot of things during this ride like massive big buildings the long sky tower and the long tunnels. I almost took a nap it was like you were in space.

First, when we arrived at our location I could already see such beautiful things that were around me such as the sparkly blue ocean and a lot more I was so hyped to get started. Me and my friends were jumping up and down cause we can’t wait to see all the beautiful things and do some cool activities.

Next, we went into this room There were two amazing staff members whose names were Lee and Niki. We had to split off into groups and the first group that went to explore the museum was group 2. And group 1 stayed behind and played a game where you have to go north,east,south and west in Maori, North is Raki south is Tonga East whitinga west is tomokanga. we learn where Polynesians travel around the world. They travel to Tonga Fiji Samoan cook island and other more in the pacific ocean. And we got to make our own little boat with the blocks they had at the place. And we had so much fun.

Then, we completed all of them we waited for the other group to come back then we could explore the museum I was so excited to start. A few minutes later they came back and I saw my other friends that were in group 2 and then they told me all about what they saw and what they saw . Then me and one of my friends named sienna headed off to our group so we could go and explore the museum like a detective. We were getting started at the front deck and  we got told that we had to stay with the teacher or else we will get lost in the museum.

Afterward we split off and started me and my friend were so shocked when we both took one big step we could already see such beautiful things When I walked through. cool old things that people used back in the old days and lots more . My friend sienna and I went to go and explore and we saw this little shop it was so cute it looked like a mini cafe we took some pictures inside and we had so much fun. while being there we saw a lot more cool stuff we even saw all the big sale boats and took some photos with them. My favorite part I saw was the bunk beds they looked scary but also interesting to look at.

finely we all got to see a cannon fire shoot out from a paper. The shot was as loud as someone screaming so loud. now we all meet in the front room so we can leave the museum and we said a big thank you to Lee and Niki for teaching us where Polynesian travel around the pacific ocean.

Back in 1982 there was a girl named Mia, she was a ordinary girl until she meet a women named Rachel . She was so kind that she invited Mia to her house and when she was showing her around she gave her a gift and told her to wait and open it at home.

When she got home, she was so excited to open the gift and when she opened it she was amazed, it was a rainbow suit . She tried it on and she felt some thing weird about herself, then she looked in the mirror and saw nothing but she thought that she was invincible. When she figured it out, she wondered what other super powers she might have.

Next, she tested if she had the power of flight, she kept trying to fly until she did it. It was so exciting she was celebrating and jumping up and down.

Then, she decided to fly up to space so she could try out one more power. She went to space and noticed that she could breathe in space this was so exciting because now she can fly to space whenever she wanted to.

After that she saw a big humongous space rock, it was going to crash earth  so she pulled out her shield and tried to block it! Finally it worked because  her shield was  mighty powerful and nothing could break it.

At last she flew back home and lived her life as an ordinary girl again. Until the next danger arrived…..

If I found 1,000 dollars on a bench

First I would see if anyone is around, then I would take it and spend it on snacks for when I get hungry. Then I would go to the swimming pools with my little niece and my aunt.

Next I would go to the best fun place and go with my family and spend time with them.And that’s what I would do if  I found 1,000 dollars on a bench.

It was a hot sunny day I could fell my body going to sweat into treas. The next day I moved to another house with my dog her name was Bella she was a very well behaved dog and she was very kind to people. When i open the door my hole body felt like it was about to drop.

I slowly walked over to the door and took one step inside I  could see a whole different world when I was taking a walk around  to see what was in this world I came across this monkey it WAS A TALKING monkey hes name was cam my eyes were just shocked to see what was in front of me he told me that if I give him 10 banana he will show me the way back home and i was exited and I was jumping up and down

I was searching everywhere for the bright yellow bananas and when I went to find the bananas I  came across this tree with a door I took one big step and I was back to my front door I was thinking if i should go and find the bananas and give it to the monkey… then I just went to get the bananas and give it to the monkey i felt  bad and when I came back I  went to my old neighbors and I went to there back yard and pick off 10 bright yellow bananas

Next I went back to the magic door were I can give the monkey the bananas so when I got back I ran as fast as I can so when I saw the monkey siting and waiting I quickly gave cam the bananas and he looked so happy and I told him you don´t need to worries taking back home I have already found the way home THE END.

Magic balloon  

Did you know that if you mix baking soda and vinegar together it will bubble up to the top and that’s called carbon-dioxide

First we split ourselves into groups of 4 and in my group was Sienna, Pia, Antonia, and myself 

Next we got a try with all the things we needed: a bottle, balloon, baking soda, vinegar,and a circle of cardboard to make a funnel because we didn’t have enough plastic funnels. we first had to go to our first station that was the baking soda they told us to first make your funnel with the cardboard then cut on the side of the circle next. it was like a world pool. Now you can put your baking soda in we put one teaspoon of baking soda we had to put the funnel over the bottle of the lid 

Then we went to our next station that was the vinegar  we then did the same thing but we had to but our funnel over the balloon we had to do 3 tablespoons of vinegar but this one was hard because the funnel was made out of cardboard and the vinegar was liquid and the cardboard will dissolve and we will not be able to work the vinegar in the balloon and my hole group had to do it fast and i worked.

After That  my group was done with it and we had to carefully put your balloon over the top of our bottle we wanted to wait and pour the vinegar in so miss whaea ocea can film us when our balloon blows up she was filming us then the balloon was blowing up so big that it was bigger than everyone

The chemical reaction is called carbon dioxide because when you mix liquid and nitrogen it causes a chemical reaction 

happy cook island, language week. Me and a group of friends decided to make a slide show about the cook island. this slide show is based on facts.

Rainbow milk

For yesterday’s experiment Piwakawaka did an experiment about rainbow milk.

First we had to get into groups of 3 or 4.In my group was Sienna, Manu, Pia, and Myself. We had to predict what was going to happen if we put In dish-washing liquid. To make rainbow milk we had to put Milk inside a bowl and then we added food coloring.

Next we got a cotton bud and dip it into the dish-washing liquid then we dip the cotton bud into the rainbow milk and see what will happen when we put in the cotton bud.once we put it in the food coloring goes to the sides and once it comes back to each other it will stop. moving the colors were like a rainbow squish mallow. 

After that we got to mix all the colors to gather it was so cool till it looked like green vomit.

On Monday i did an experiment about wind vanes in my group, Pia, Manu, Sienna, Rose and myself. Our goal was to make a wind vane. The materials we needed were paper, play-dough, a straw, pen, pencil, a cup and scissors.

First we started off by getting a square of paper and wrote north,south,east,west, on our paper. Next we got our straw and cut slits so our triangle and square could fit. Then we poked the pencil into the cup in the middle of our cup. After that we poked the pen in the straw with a pin and our wind vane was made!

After we got our wind vane it was ready to go outside and test it.then we went outside to test it but there was no wind outside so we had to come inside and test it with the fan and some people one Worked yay.
